5 June Borough Market and a visit to Avondale Rd N3

What a good rest we had. Breakfast was in Borough Market, a short walk from Mad Hatter and feasted on a big fry up of wild sausage baps. We walked across the river towards the BoE museum. For 2 hours we learnt lots about the banking history of the UK.

We took Bus 8 towards Tott Ct Rd and walked the rest up to Warren St where H was already waiting for us. Her morning clinic has been cancelled and she spent a morning revising while waiting for our little excursion to her new pad.

Her new place at Avondale Rd was a long walk from Finchley Ctl. H wasn't yet familiar with the place and we overshot by quite a bit. The landlady was out so we had all the place to ourselves. It is a very spacious place with a lounge and her personal bath outside her room.

After the house tour, we went to Brent Cross, bus 143, for a bit of serious shopping. We had a very late lunch,3. 30pm, at Nandos and it did not disappoint.

Despite being pressed for time, H managed to get lingerie, pants, mattress protector from M&S and John Lewis. There was no time to price compare but goods were good and comparable to SG.

We managed to walk to Brent Cross Stn after crossing many highways, thanks to Google map. There we parted ways, H to her SJA party at Hyde Pk and us to Southwark.

Dinner was lousy at PWH. I should have settled for the pub at our hotel because it couldn't have been worse.
