8 June Mousehole, Penzance

8 June Day excursion to Mousehole and stocking up clothes for bad weather

The glorious weather came back. As usual, it was a hair raising experience driving out of the car park area but we executed it well to the amusement of the other residents.

We headed to Mousehole and did a little walk around the well photographed harbor. It was so small we did a full circuit of the town under 2 hours. Stuffed from a heavy breakfast at the Blue Horizon, yum, we abandoned plans to lunch at the Ship Inn. Oh well.

Then it was off to Penzance. Weather forecast was not great for the coming days and we stocked up on cold weather clohting at Mountain Outlet. Lunch was so unremarkable at the Bakehouse we did a post lunch at a cornish pasty place. Verdict, those super big puffs are a tad dry for my liking.

We headed to Morissons, to stock up our ladder. For the next  2 nights, we would eat in.

Blue Horizon Boat House heating system started to develop problems and riled me quite a bit. I did not like the way the host diagnosed the problem as I am not used to the cold because I come from Singapore. That was plain stupid trouble shooting. Trouble was resolved with a system reset but my rating of the house owner went down several notches.
