9 June 2019 St Micheal Mount

The Mount does not open on Saturdays so it was a do for us on Sunday instead. By now, we are so familiar with the piers and the tide times of the causeway.

We took a boat ride across to the Mount and waited for the castle to open. It was a demanding climb up and everyone heaved their way up. Once done, it was a rewarding sight from every angle.

The castle has its own charms and we took in the views at the top of the castle. We even attended a Pentacost Sunday Service at the castle. It was about Jesus saying yes to those seeking Him. It was short but touching. The only question was how I should link the Pentacost in Acts 20 to the sermon.

We waited for the tide to clear and the causeway to open. This, we did the very moment it was officially open. Many have already waded across and we barely touched the water as the tide receded between the cobbled cracks. It was thrilling for me and amusing to Pat.

The hot water did not work very well but we ate in anyway. Pat was quite sick by now and retired early for the night.
